Our sedation dentistry options don’t actually involve patients being put to sleep. Rather sedation dentistry allows patients to feel extremely relaxed. You may not even remember any of the procedures once it’s over. At our practice, we are here to guide you every step of the way and ensure that the only experience you have is a pleasant one!
When sedation is involved in your dental procedure, a responsible adult must escort you home from the appointment. It is important to let the sedation wear off and for you to rest before returning to your regular routine.
If you receive sedation, we would advise taking the rest of the day off to recover. A good rule of thumb is to set aside 24-hours to return to your regular routine. Different types of sedation have different recovery times. It is always important to carefully follow the post-op instructions reviewed by your dentist.
You must speak with your insurance provider to find out if they cover sedation dentistry. After your initial consultation, we can provide you with an estimate to send to your insurance provider.
