Our dentist in Toronto, ON, will take 3D scans of your tooth which are sent to a CEREC milling machine. The scans are non-invasive and precise. A digital model is put together based on the visual information in the scans. The CEREC system uses porcelain as the sculpting material and creates a physical dental crown based on that model.
When the crown is ready, it’s adhered to your tooth with special dental cement. As a result, you won’t need to wear a temporary crown at all. You can treat your repaired tooth just as you would your normal teeth as soon as you leave the clinic.

How Long Does a Same-Day Crown Last?
A dental crown can approximately 10 years if you brush and floss daily, stay up to date with your dental checkups and cleanings, and avoid chewing on hard objects like candies and ice.
