Jackie

Hygiene Team

Jackie has over 40 years of experience in dentistry. Jackie graduated from dental hygiene school in 1979 and has been an integral part of the Bloor West Dental Group team since 1988!

As a passionate dental professional, Jackie remains committed to helping her patients achieve optimal oral health. To ensure that Jackie delivers the highest level of care, she keeps up to date with the latest techniques and technologies. Jackie takes pride in her gentle approach and personalized care, which allows even the most anxious patients to feel comfortable and at ease during every visit.

Jackie is pleased and honoured to have seen three generations of patients achieve optimal dental health, over three decades, in her time here at Bloor West Dental Group. Seeing her patients leave our office with healthy, happy smiles is truly rewarding for Jackie!

When Jackie is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and exploring new places.

Angela

Hygiene Team

Angela completed her Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto in1983 and then graduated in Dental Hygiene from George Brown College in 1984. After working for a year, Angela continued her education at George Brown College and graduated in 1986 from The Restorative Dental Hygiene Program.

Angela joined Bloor West Dental Group in January 1986 and notes that she has been fortunate to work alongside many great dental professionals and to take care of a wonderful group of patients.

In her spare time, Angela enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Mitra

Hygiene Team

Mitra and her family emigrated to Canada from Iran in 1990. Mitra completed her Bachelor of Science in biology at York University in 1997. With a strong interest in oral hygiene and the field of dental science, Mitra obtained her dental hygiene diploma from George Brown College in 2002.   

Mitra has been proudly working as a dental hygienist here at Bloor West Dental Group since 2002. For Mitra, it has been an exceptionally rewarding experience to say the least. Bloor West Dental Group provided an opportunity to hone and develop clinical skills under the supervision of highly knowledgeable dentists. Bloor West Dental Group encourages its hygiene team to constantly update their knowledge and learn about the latest developments in the field.   

Mitra enjoys interacting with the patients of our office, many of whom Mitra has known for a very long time.   

Mitra lives in Etobicoke with her family and loves spending time with her 12-year-old daughter!

Candy

Hygiene Team

Candy arrived in Canada from Jamaica in September 1990. Coming from a warm climate Candy was soon to find out what being cold truly meant! Brrrr!

Candy began her tenure here at Bloor West Dental Group as a dental assistant in 1992, and then became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1994, working here at BWDG as a hygienist since then. 

Candy enjoys interacting with people and helping them develop good dental habits as a part of a holistic lifestyle!

Andrea

Hygiene Team

Andrea has been a part of the incredible team at Bloor West Dental Group since December of 1987, right after graduating from George Brown College. Throughout her career, Andrea has had the privilege of meeting and caring for so many amazing individuals. Building long-term relationships with her patients has been incredibly rewarding for Andrea. They’ve become like an extended family to her, and Andrea is extremely grateful to have been a part of their journey towards achieving optimal dental health!

You might have heard about Andrea as the ‘Muffin Lady.’ Baking has always been one of Andrea’s passions, and she loves sharing her famous muffins with her patients and colleagues. It’s a small way to bring some joy and smiles to their faces. When Andrea is not at BWDG, you’ll often find her tending to her beloved garden or spending quality time with friends, family, and her adorable dog, Rosie. These activities bring balance and fulfillment to Andrea’s life, allowing her to bring positive energy into the dental office.

Seeing her patients leave the office with healthier and happier smiles is truly gratifying. Andrea is honoured to be a part of Bloor West Dental Group, and  looks forward to meeting you and being a part of your journey towards optimal oral health.

Susie

Hygiene Team

Shortly after graduating from McMaster in Biology and Environmental Science, Susie attended CADH to study Dental Hygiene. As a hygienist, Susie finds fulfillment in providing meticulous oral services, and guiding patients to improve home oral care to achieve their best oral health possible. Susie has felt that building a professional rapport with her patients has made working as a hygienist here at Bloor West Dental Group, even more enjoyable.

Outside of work, Susie enjoys hot summer days, hiking, and cuddling with her dog, Taco!

Tania

Hygiene Team

Tania Franzini was born in Toronto and raised in Vaughan, graduating from Dental Hygiene school in 2012. Tania began her career in the dental field, committed to building a connection with people while providing the highest level of care.

Tania is married and is a proud dog mom! If you get to know Tania, you will find out that she absolutely loves dogs! When Tania is away from the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors, finding new restaurants and travelling. Tania is passionate about social justice issues and treating others in a kind, understanding and compassionate way.

Francesca

Hygiene Team

Francesca truly loves helping her patients to be healthy both with their oral and overall health! Francesca has a passion for helping her patients feel there best during their dental visit.

Francesca was born and raised in Toronto, obtaining her dental hygiene diploma in 2001 from Kings’ College in London England. Francesca lived in London for ten years and greatly enjoyed her time there. In her spare time, Francesca enjoys spending time with her family.
